TEACHING EXPERIENCE 
            Florida Virtual School, Orlando, Florida

            Instructor, MJ Math 2 and MJ Career Education
  • Cultivate relationships and maintain consistent communication with students and parents regarding the student’s progress, needs and goals.
  • Continually provide new and creative inspirational items for students to help them progress through the course.
  • Create instructional items to fill any identified learning gaps in the course and in the needs of the students.

  • Develop lesson plans and taught all subjects required by Sunshine State Standards, using Writer’s Workshop, Reader’s Workshop and Math Investigations.
  • Lead Literacy classroom for Kindergarten. Trained grade level on new curriculum, assigned responsibilities, followed up with progress and evaluated the end results.
  • Organize and create centers for differentiated instruction in mathematics and reading.

  • Collaborate with the Department of Children and Families to provide services to families at risk for child abuse or neglect.
  • Conduct in-home evaluations helping the family to plan their goals to ensure the safety of the children and success of the family.
  • Coordinate and manage the Family Team Conference process. 
  • Schedule and plan conferences, assign responsibilities, coodinate resources, monitor progress and re-evaluate goals as necessary.
